The district La Mina, where Club Lluita Olimpica La Mina is located, is commonly known as the ‘district without law’. It is the district with the greatest social deprivation within the Barcelona metropolitan area. It suffers from an urban layout which has created enclosed streets within a fortress-like setting, marginalised from the outside world.
In 2000, Club Lluita Olimpica La Mina was legally declared. The school opened under the following motto: “Fight and Respect”. The club was aimed at promoting, facilitating and supporting the social transformation of the district La Mina.
We have 100 licenses and athletes from different countries: Iran, Italy, Morroco, Cuba, Russia, Romania, Georgia, Russia, Osetia, Moldavia, Kabardina Balkaria, etc. But all of them have a common trait: They live in the District of La Mina.
